Tatyana Komarova
Executive Director
Tatyana is the Executive Director and Founder of the International Talent Academy. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Theater and Music Education and a master’s degree in Executive Development for Public Services from Ball State University. Tatyana’s extensive 25 years of international experience in education has lead her to a satisfying career as a music teacher, theater director and manager of extra-curricular activities and special events. While working in Russia, she developed and implemented educational programs for local teachers and college students for which she has been honored with a number of awards from both the school district and City Government.
For the past 20 years she has conducted her own research on early brain development and developed a number of programs for the preschool/school-age children, and parents/educators. These programs were successfully launched at the International School of Indiana, the New American School in Indianapolis, IUPUI, Gorin’s Piano Studio in Carmel, and the International Talent Academy.
In 2006, she established the ITA as a non-profit organization and introduced it to the City of Carmel. Currently, she is working on the ITA’s programs that are now taught at the Carmel Monon Community Center and other locations, as well as teaching piano lessons at her own Piano Studio. At the same time, she develops educational programs for infants and toddlers and their parents, which she plans to implement in the near future. It is her priority to continue her education in order to gain the most current information within the field of early child development, so that she can contribute to her work more successfully.
Tatyana is a member of the Carmel Rotary club and the Chamber of Commerce, and is actively involved in community events. Along with her music and theater programs, she teaches Russian language, and Train the Brain program for gifted children. In the past, she produced theater plays and organized special events and celebrations for the Russian community. It is Tatyana’s present goal to enrich her talents as an educator and administrator, continuing to work with children and adults in a successful partnership. Tatyana is dedicated to the idea of the International Talent Academy and will bring it to the successful outcome.
