HOW DOES IT WORK?

A group of students meets weekly for 1-hr sessions. Once you sign up for the class, you will receive the class information and all the details for the lessons. The program is based on fun interactive games and activities, where each participant feels engaged and comfortable. Please, see our students’ testimonials below.

Public Speaking - youth

Use: This program will prepare you for personal introductions, class presentations, projects, speeches, auditions, and social interactions with kids and adults. 

Description: Learn tips and tricks to express yourself, structure and present your speech, as well as overcome stage fright. The instructor will take you step-by-step through a speech preparation & and speech delivery process which will help you boost your confidence, help eliminate bad habits, and give you the critical thinking skills necessary to understand your audience, influence them, and speak directly to their needs.

Activities include: improv interviews, voice projection & posture games, memorization & reciting, speech discussions, speech writing process, constructive criticism, and icebreaker games that will help students become effective communicators. Use this class to prepare your current or future speeches and get inspired to speak confidently!

Materials & handouts: students will receive handouts on each topic after each session. Certificates will be awarded to all participants upon the successful completion of the Public Speaking program.

Note: If, for any reason, you are not able to make the class, you will be sent the class materials to work with at home.

 

Public Speaking & Presentation - teens

Use: Level it up! Use this program to improve on your skills, and prepare for higher-level presentations, projects, speeches, leadership roles, job/school/college interviews, auditions, and social/business interactions with peers and adults.

Description: Effective speaking skills are critical in our increasingly competitive world. You will need to develop these skills if you hope to: make a presentation, interview for a job, compete for a leadership role, get a scholarship, or persuade people to listen to your ideas. This class will help you overcome public speaking anxiety; learn the tips of the most effective communicators, create logical and interesting presentations, and discover different methods of writing and delivering your presentations. You will practice correct body language, voice exercises, and hand gestures to enhance your presentation. Lastly, you will practice answering difficult questions from audience members, and learn the most effective ways to speak to an audience and maintain their attention. After this course, you will be ready and confident to reach any of your speaking goals!

Activities include: voice projection & posture, body language, first impression; how to dress, stand, walk, make an eye contact; practice improv interviews, speech structure, research & writing, memorization & reciting, speech discussions, constructive criticism, icebreaker games. Use this class to prepare your speech and get inspired to speak confidently!

Speech & Debate

Gain confidence and get ready for successful debates at school! Learn how to properly structure debates, practice persuasion techniques, and be a strong communicator. Activities include: improv speech games, voice projection, stage presence, speech and debate practice, constructive criticism, and icebreaker games that will help students become effective communicators. At the end of the session, you will have knowledge and skills to do live debates and influence others!

Note: If, for any reason, you are not able to make the class at the particular time scheduled, you will be sent the class recording to watch and learn at a time convenient for you.
